Before I ever sold a single home, I learned that real estate isn’t about property, it’s about people, their courage, and the moments that reshape
their lives.
There were several factors that led me into real estate, but one of the biggest was watching how many REALTORS® treated their clients like numbers. It felt cold, transactional, and money-driven. I saw the job completely differently. To me, selling homes is a service. It’s human. It’s meaningful. I knew there was a need for REALTORS® who actually cared—who saw people, not commission checks.
Perhaps that humanitarian perspective comes from the challenges I faced as a young adult. I became a single mom to Cydney while I was still in college. I was in my early twenties, changing diapers, feeding a newborn, and trying to build a career—all at the same time. Suddenly, I wasn’t just responsible for myself. There was a little human depending on me financially, emotionally, and as a role model. It was overwhelming, and honestly, it forced me to grow up fast.
I worked two jobs in college to stay afloat. At one point, I spent four years working for the Department of Defense. That’s where I had a serious reckoning. I remember asking myself: What am I doing with my life? I was living paycheck to paycheck, just keeping my head above water. I also came from a long line of strong women and parents who showed grit and determination every day. I didn’t want to fail myself and I absolutely did not want to fail my daughter.
So, I made a decision: I would build the life I wanted. I wanted financial freedom. I wanted time with my family. I wanted control over my destiny. And one thing about me is that I’m ambitious, I don’t take no for an answer when it comes to creating a better life.
I left my government job and became a loan officer. Eventually, I moved into the operational side of mortgages, where I stayed for 13 years. It gave me an incredible foundation. I became an expert at understanding mortgage loan files, contracts, and exactly what kind of financial profile would, or wouldn’t, get approved.
During those years, I worked with plenty of REALTORS® and not all of them treated their clients well. At the same time, I missed the human connection I wasn’t getting behind a desk all day. So in 2017, I took the leap and earned my real estate license. From
day one, I was determined to be a human-centered REALTOR®, and I poured myself into growing my business. It felt expansive, like I had finally stepped into a career meant for me.
Today, I’m married to Steven, my high school sweetheart. Life took us in different directions for a while, and when we reconnected, ten years after high school, we were both coming out of breakups. We found our way back to each other, and now we have a blended family of four: Kimberly (32), Cydney (27), Daniel (26), and Gavin (21). We also have six grandkids, with one more on the way! And I can’t forget our five Pomeranian fur babies.
My family is still the core of why I do what I do. We glam-camp, we go to concerts, and we make the most of every moment. Looking back, my l
ife didn’t just fall into place, I built it. Piece by piece, choice by choice, I’m proud that the life I envisioned is the one I’m living now.
I’m known for having a genuine heart for my clients. I take pride in caring for every client with patience, respect, and honesty, earning their trust by ensuring they find a home that fits their needs perfectly. This thoughtful approach has allowed me to serve multiple generations within the same families, one of the greatest honors of my career.
My success comes from being a problem solver. I listen closely to what clients say and what they don’t say, focusing my attention on their needs, concerns, and personal priorities. As a local expert born and raised here, I often introduce clients to neighborhoods or layouts they hadn’t considered but ultimately love. Because I take the time to truly understand their “hot buttons,” I’m here to support clients with clarity, confidence, and genuine care. With a strong foundation in mortgages, I can help them navigate financing and connect them with a lender who fits their needs. I take a well-rounded, forward-looking approach, focusing not only on how they enter a transaction but ensuring they have a well-planned exit strategy that protects their long-term interests.
Sincerely,
